Playing around with the maze pattern in a cube and a sphere.



Experimenting with intervening planes.

I combined the two above models (the maze cube and the circle planes) to create a a maze plane in the shape of a circle (bottom left corner).  I then duplicated and manipulated this plane to make the above 7 models.

These are my favourite three models

The model on the right is the one I chose as my final.  It relates to my precedents as it is made from the maze pattern and has lots of planes intervening.  The left model is the model I will 3d print as I had to thicken the walls.

Precedent Images

I got the idea from this image of using geometrical shapes, espectially cubes and cuboids, to create a really abstract design.



I want to concentrate my design on using the patterns of a maze.



I also like the idea of having my whole model in a geometrical shape.  The maze pattern works really well in a cube and would create some really interesting shadows and patterns when light was put behind it.

I also like the idea of having different planes intervening.
